Seven: 14 Prayer Group

Many MBC members can provide testament to the power of prayer, making it an important part of church life.  The seven: 14 Prayer Group meet every Wednesday evening in church at 7:14 pm - 8:14 pm, and operate a prayer chain at all other times in support of each other and the wider community.

Unfortunately due to COVID-19 the Seven:14 Prayer Group currently takes place via a Zoom meeting.  Please contact Paul Booth for further information.

Our prayer meeting takes its name from 2 Chronicles 7:14:

"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land".

If you are able to come on a Wednesday night, you will be very welcome.  Don't worry about having to pray out loud if you do not want to, your very presence at the 7:14 is an encouragement and your 'silent prayer' is also very valuable!

Prayer Requests

God's help through the power of prayer is available for all kinds of requests and issues.  Philippians 4: 6 - 7 tells us,
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hears and your minds in Christ Jesus."

Whether your are ill, unemployed, experiencing family for financial problems or sad through the loss of a loved one, the MBC prayer team would like to pray for you.

Prayer is effective, even if answers seem slow in coming.  Remember , God is firmly in control and encourages us to bring our needs and the needs of others to him.
